2007 - January

BTP is created to build and operate a terminal for container and liquid bulk handling in the Port of Santos.

2007 - January

Preliminary Conduct Adjustment Agreement between BTP, Public Prosecution Office of the State of São Paulo, and Codesp is signed to enable BTP to initiate studies and environmental remediation project in the area.

2007 - May

Soil washing activities begin as part of the environmental remediation process.

2009 - November

Second Conduct Adjustment Agreement with the Public Prosecution Office is signed and environmental remediation work begins.

2010 - October

Soil replacement activities begin as part of the environmental remediation process.

2011 - March

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group, allocates funds to the BTP project - at the time, this was the largest syndication ever awarded to a port project in the history of the IFC.

2011 - July

Soil substitution work`s been started as part of the ambiental remediation process

2012 - March

BTP concludes the environmental remediation process in March 6, 2012.

2012 - June

BTP receives a positive rating from Cetesb technical experts, who approve the soil recovery work.

2012 - August

BTP receives an award from the Santos City Council in recognition of the environmental remediation and subsequent elimination of one of the largest environmental liabilities of the State of São Paulo.

First partnership between BTP, the Labor Force Management Agency (OGMO), and the Center for Training Excellence (CENEP) to train and qualify workers to operate port equipment in the region.

2012 - September

Arrival of first port equipment - transtainers and portainers - purchased for the terminal.

2013 - May

Santos City Hall and BTP create BTP Educa - the company's first social responsibility program.

2013 - July

On July 9, BTP receives its operational home (O.L.) from Ibama to operate its multi-purpose terminal. BTP obtains the customs procedures declaration on July 3. The license covers terminal facilities for phase 1.

2013 - August

On August 14, BTP initiates its commercial operations when MSC Challenger berths at its dock.

2013 - September

BTP begins construction works in the avenue that surrounds the Alemoa region, so-called Retão da Alemoa, in order to facilitate access to the streets in the area.

2013 - October

On October 7, BTP receives its license for operations from Ibama to begin phase two of its undertaking.

2013 - November

BTP officially inaugurates its terminal in a ceremony for approximately 500 guests. Authorities led the symbolic inauguration.
