Santos, June 19, 2024 – In June, the month when winter begins, Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), the largest container terminal in South America, delivered 200 blankets to the Social Solidarity Funds of two cities in the Baixada Santista region.
The donation is the result of a solidarity action promoted by BTP with its clients, which contributed to raising awareness among companies throughout the logistics chain on the topic. In addition to achieving 100% engagement in the initiative, the container terminal also doubled the number of blankets donated.
“Social responsibility is in our essence, and we always encourage solidarity actions. We believe that every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference, and we are very pleased to see this network of collaboration being created in our region,” says BTP’s Chief Commercial Officer, Claudio Oliveira.
Of the total blankets donated this year, 100 units were allocated to the Social Solidarity Fund of Santos and the other 100 units to the Social Solidarity Fund of São Vicente. This is the third consecutive year that the container terminal has made blanket donations for winter solidarity campaigns promoted by the municipalities of Baixada Santista.
